deterioration

Deterioration is a story of three parts: stability, robustness, and vulnerability. While the main inspiration for the collection was Brutalist architecture, which gives more of the concept of building up and intimidation, this collection breaks down those walls and looks in. The collection, Deterioration, is a metaphor for the facade and barriers we put up instinctually, but gradually put down as we become more confident and true to ourselves. Rather than a negative connotation to the word, deterioration is a way to see the real you, the inner workings of our being, the foundation of us. Slowly, as our walls crumble, society as we know it comes into view.
